Acharya was unanimously elected as a parliamentary party leader of CPN-UML in Province 1 on the recommendation of the chief minister Sherdhan Rai.

KATHMANDU, July 31: Upendra Yadav has been elected the parliamentary party leader of Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP).
Yadav was elected unopposed during a parliamentary party meeting of JSP held on Saturday afternoon.
Yadav was proposed by party’s Federal Council Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai and seconded by party leader Mahendra Ray Yadav.
The parliamentary party meeting was attended by 20 members of the House of Representatives (HoR) and two members of the National Assembly (NA) from the party.
