Rastriya Swatantra Party MPs Urge Swift, Objective Judicial Hearing

Members of Parliament from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have demanded that the parliamentary hearing process for proposed Chief Justice Dr. Manoj Kumar Sharma be advanced objectively and at a rapid pace without further delay. Speaking at the meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee held on Tuesday, RSP Chief Whip Kavinra Burlakoti and MPs Dr. Lekhjang Thapa and Rajiv Khatri presented various suggestions to make the hearing process effective. Kathmandu. Constitutional expert Bipin Adhikari has stated that the dispute currently escalating within the Supreme Court is not a healthy sign for the rule of law. Parliamentary Hearing Committee to Review Complaints Against Proposed Chief Justice Manoj Sharma in Closed Session
Kathmandu. The Parliamentary Hearing Committee will exclude the media when opening complaints filed against proposed Chief Justice Dr. Manoj Sharma and when holding discussions with the complainants. Parliamentary Hearing Committee Chairman Bodhnarayan Shrestha stated that confidentiality will be maintained when opening complaints and discussing with them. He added that confidentiality will be maintained for the security of the complainants. When the committee called for complaints, 16 complaints were filed against Sharma.
