Army performs monsoon disaster rescue drill

Nepali Army has performed pre-exercise for monsoon preparedness and rescue operation in the Kamala River of Karjanha Municipality-2 of Siraha district in Madhes Province with a purpose to reduce the risk of flood during the monsoon. In the presence of Chief Minister Lal Babu Raut, the trained manpower of the Nepali Army performed the monsoon rescue and operation drill in the river. The post-monsoon rainfall caused by the collective effect of the wind from the Bay of Bengal and the westerly wind caused floods, landslides, and inundations in 26 districts.
