KATHMANDU, July 29: A parliamentary committee formed to investigate charges against former Finance Minister Janardan Sharma that he invited two unofficial personnel at the Ministry and changed the tax rates during the budget preparation submitted its report to the House of Representatives (HoR) on Friday.
The report was submitted by chairman of the committee Laxman Lal Karna.
It took 17 days for the committee to complete the investigation.
According to Surendra Aryal, secretary of the committee, the committee will submit the report this morning.
It has been learned that the committee has, however, failed to collect evidence against Sharma.
