The primary objective of conducting Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Initial Environmental Examinations (IEE) in Nepal is to identify and manage the impacts of development projects on the environment, society, and economy. Essentially, these studies are conducted to understand how a project affects forests, water, soil, biodiversity, and air.
