One Dead in Wild Elephant Attack in Jhapa
Jhapa. One person has died in a wild elephant attack in front of the ward office located in Mechinagar Municipality 4 of Jhapa. Padma Poudel, 62, a resident of Mechinagar Municipality-4, died when a wild elephant that suddenly came from the jungle area attacked her while she was coming out of her house. She died on the spot after being trampled by the elephant and necessary investigation is underway....

Kathmandu. Nepali Congress has proposed a new rule requiring central committee members to compete from the ward level to become general convention representatives. This provision is mentioned in the 7-point proposal sent by Vice President Bishwa Prakash Sharma on Jestha 16 to the former President Sher Bahadur Deuba and Dr. Shekhar Koirala factions for internal party consensus.
