Disabled students of a Baglung school face uncertain future after grade 8

KATHMANDU, December 3: A total of 28 including teachers and students tested positive for COVID-19 in a school in Baglung district.
Of those diagnosed with COVID-19, 26 are students and two are teachers of Tribhuvan Secondary School of Baglung Municipality -13.
After detecting COVID-19 in two teachers and a student, as many as 82 individuals of the school had undergone polymerase chain reaction tests recently.
The school has currently been shut down following infection of COVID-19 in large individuals, according to the District Office, Baglung.
Likewise, three other local people have also tested positive for COVID-19 on Thursday.
A landslide triggered by incessant rain has caused damages to a two-room building of Unique Primary School in Kathekhola rural municipality-3, Dhamja, Baglung district.
GALKOT, April 27: A total 179 schools have so far been rebuild in Baglung district under the post-earthquake reconstruction campaign. According to the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA), District Project Office Baglung, the reconstruction works are nearing final phase in the district.
Baglung is of the districts hit by the 2015 April earthquake that struck the country to its core. According to NRNA, almost all quake-damaged schools have been restored in the district. The promptness on the part of District project Implementation Unit Education has been credited for the remarkable progress in the school reconstruction efforts. Unit chief Matilal Chapai said the school reconstruction drive was launched in a phase-wise approach.
However, some schools in geographically remote areas could not be rebuild on time.
As Chapai said, the schools reconstruction project has been almost complete. The work progress was satisfactory even during the last year's nationwide lockdown against the virus.
Dev Prakash Ghimire, Corona focal person of District Health Office, Baglung, said that swabs of 98 students and teachers were sent for PCR tests, and of them 39 tested positive for virus, after two teachers and a student of that same school were found infected in the previous PCR tests.
BAGLUNG, July 28: Unlike a majority of community schools, Shree Janata Higher Secondary School (SJHSS), a community school of Jaimini Municipality-10, Rangkhani, Pahi, has become an exemplary school in the municipality. The school provides quality education and has started technical education which makes it a model school.
