KATHMANDU, March 4: The central committee meeting of the CPN (Maoist Center) is currently underway at the National Assembly Building in Kathmandu.
The meeting scheduled at 11 AM on Friday kicked off at 1 PM this afternoon.
The meeting is expected to witness ups and downs as a fraction of the party-led by leader Narayankaji Shrestha is not satisfied with the party's decision to ratify the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC)-Nepal compact.
Earlier, the party’s general convention had decided to oppose the MCC compact ratification without amendments to some provisions.
Besides, the meeting is expected to dwell on the current political situation, and completion of the standing committee, office bearers, politburo and central committee of the party.
