LAMKI, Dec 14: Cold wave has started in western Terai including Kailali and Kanchanpur districts. Layers of thick fog have engulfed places like Lamki, Tikapur, Sukhad, Mahendranagar and other areas in the districts from early morning today (Wednesday).
Cold waves coupled with thick fog for the past three days have badly affected normal life in Banke and Bardiya districts.
Only a few vehicles are seen plying on the roads of Banke. Human activities at market places of Banke like Tribhuwan Chowk, Sadarline, Gharbaritol, B. P. Chowk, Birednra Chowk, Pushpalal Chowk, Kohalpur, Khajura and Ranjh have significantly fallen these days due to cold.
HUMLA, Jan 4: Eight people lost their lives in Humla due to cold wave. Rana Devi Pariyar and Nandakala Pariyar, both 27 and residents of Tajakot rural municipality-5 were the latest who succumbed to cold and fever.
