KATHMANDU, July 16: Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Hou Yanqi has paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.
Ambassador Yanqi visited PM Deuba at the latter's official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu on Friday afternoon.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Yanqi assured that China will continue its support to Nepal in its fight against COVID-19 pandemic including much needed vaccines against the deadly disease.
On the occasion, she also conveyed PM Deuba the recent decision of the Chinese Government to provide Nepal with additional 1.6 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines under the grant assistance.
PM Deuba, in response, thanked the Chinese Government for the vaccine support and expressed hope that China will enhance its support to Nepal for both COVID-19 response and recovery.
