KATHMANDU, June 6: CPN (Maoist Center), a key coalition partner of the Deuba government, is not in a mood to replace its ministers, according to Shakti Basnet, former Home Minister and a leader of the party. Basnet’s statement comes a day after the CPN (Unified Socialist) decided to recall its ministers from the government. It has been learnt that the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) is also preparing to replace its ministers. “Budget for the upcoming fiscal year has been recently introduced. It will be effective to work for the implementation of that budget rather than reshuffling the Cabinet,” Basnet said. “Besides, the general election is nearing. Home Minister, FinMin discuss budget for local level election

KATHMANDU, Feb 9: Home Minister Bal Krishna Khand and Finance Minister Janardan Sharma held a discussion regarding the budget required for the local level election on Wednesday. The government has announced it will hold the election of the local levels on May 13. The meeting was held at the Home Ministry, according to Bishma Kumar Bhusal, a joint secretary at the Ministry. The meeting mainly dwelled on budget arrangements for security and other purposes required during the election. The Home Ministry will inform the Finance Ministry about the total budget required on Thursday, said joint secretary Bhusal.
