Man Arrested for Alleged Rape in Ramchhap
Ramchhap. A 41-year-old man has been arrested on charges of raping a woman in Umakunda Rural Municipality of Ramchhap. Bhim Bahadur Damai, also known as Majhi, a resident of Bundaldanda in Uకుండా Rural Municipality-7, was taken into police custody on Friday morning on the accusation of raping a 40-year-old woman. A complaint was filed with the police alleging that Damai forcibly raped the woman. Nepal Police Intensify Anti-Drug Operations, Arrest 22
Kathmandu. Nepal Police has intensified action against the smuggling and trade of illegal drugs across the country. On Friday and Saturday alone, police arrested 22 people with illegal drugs from seven different districts of the country.They were taken under control with brown sugar, hashish, and controlled medical drugs from various checkpoints and market areas of Jhapa, Kailali, Udayapur, Bardiya, Kanchanpur, Dhanusha, and Sindhuli, according to the police.
