Kathmandu. Nepal Police has intensified action against the smuggling and trade of illegal drugs across the country. On Friday and Saturday alone, police arrested 22 people with illegal drugs from seven different districts of the country.They were taken under control with brown sugar, hashish, and controlled medical drugs from various checkpoints and market areas of Jhapa, Kailali, Udayapur, Bardiya, Kanchanpur, Dhanusha, and Sindhuli, according to the police. Police have arrested nine people from Jhapa alone, which is considered the main transit point for the drug trade.
