UML leads vote count in Hetauda, CPN (MC) in Jeetpur Simara

KATHMANDU, May 13: CPN-UML is currently leading the vote count in Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City. Of the 145 votes counted so far, Ananta Poudel, UMl’s candidate for the post of mayor, is ahead with 53 votes. His nearest contender was Mina Kumari Lama, candidate of CPN (Unified Socialist) with 51 votes. Likewise, Rajesh Baniya, candidate of the ruling alliance for the post of deputy mayor has collected 66 votes while his nearest contender Sumitra Kafle, CPN-UML’s candidate, got 62 votes. Similarly, in Jeetpur Simara sub-metropolis, the candidate of the ruling alliance has taken the lead in the vote count.  Rajan Poudel, CPN (Maoist Center)’s candidate for the post of mayor and Mega Shahi, Nepali Congress’s candidate for the post of deputy mayor have garnered 543 votes each.

UML leads vote count in Dolakha

KATHMANDU, Dec 4: The CPN (UML) is currently leading the vote count in Dolakha.  As of Sunday morning, UML's candidate for the House of Representatives, Bal Krishna Siwakoti has so far received 15,363 votes while his nearest rival Ganga Karki of CPN (Maoist Centre) has got 14,038 votes. So far a total of 34,481 votes have been counted.  Likewise, UML's Bharat KC, a candidate for the Provincial Assembly from Dolakha-2,  is also leading the vote count with 16,337 votes followed by Nepali Congress candidate Burma Lama with 12,058 votes. A total of 21 candidates from 14 different political parties and seven independent candidates are contesting in the election. Earlier, a reelection was held in Dolakha.

UML leads initial vote count in all three election constituencies in Lalitpur

KATHMANDU, Nov 21: The CPN-UML is currently leading the initial vote count in all the three election constituencies in Lalitpur district. In Lalitpur-1, of the 1,288 votes counted, Nawaraj Silwal of CPN-UML has garnered 662 votes, Udaya Shumsher of Nepali Congress has collected 402 votes followed by the candidate of Rastriya Swatantra Party with 93 votes. Likewise, in Lalitpur-2, the candidate of CPN-UML has garnered 2,980 votes followed by the candidate of Hamro Party with 2,497 votes, Rastriya Prajatantra Party with 1,426 votes and CPN (Unified Socialist) with 1,477 votes. Similarly in Lalitpur-3, Amrit Khadka of CPN-UML is currently leading the vote count with 516 votes followed by Dr Tosima Karki of Rastriya Swatantra Party with 498 votes and Pampa Bhusal of CPN (Maoist Center) with 298 votes.

UML candidate Subedi leads vote count in Bharatpur metropolis

KATHMANDU, May 16: Bijay Subedi, CPN-UML’s candidate for the post of mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City is currently leading the vote count as of Monday morning.  Subedi has so far garnered 3,667 votes. His nearest contender was Renu Dahal, CPN (Maoist Center)’s candidate representing the ruling alliance, who collected 3,653 votes. Likewise, Jagan Nath Poudel, an independent mayor candidate, got 1,413 votes.

KMC’s Deputy Mayor: UML candidate Dangol leading the vote count

KATHMANDU, May 14: Sunita Dangol, CPN-UML’s candidate for the post of deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, is currently leading the vote count. So far, Dangol is leading the count with 395 votes. Her nearest contender was Binita Magaiya, Rastriya Prajatantra Party’s candidate, who collected 85 votes. Likewise, Rameshwar Shrestha, CPN (Unified Socialist)’s candidate for the post has collected 41 votes.

UML candidate Subedi leads vote count in Bharatpur metropolis

KATHMANDU, May 14: Bijay Subedi, CPN-UML’s candidate for the post of mayor of Bharatpur Metropolitan City is currently leading the vote count. Of 55 votes counted so far, Subedi has garnered 23 votes. His nearest contender was Renu Dahal, CPN (Maoist Center)’s candidate representing the ruling alliance, who collected 19 votes. Likewise, Jagan Nath Poudel, an independent mayor candidate, got seven votes.

Vote count of Bharatpur Metropolitan City begins

KATHMANDU, May 14: Vote count of Bharatpur Metropolitan City is currently underway. Renu Dahal, CPN (Maoist Center)’s candidate representing the ruling alliance and Bijay Subedi of CPN-UML are vying for the post of mayor of the metropolis.

UML Gen Convention: Vote count begins, results by 3PM

KATHMANDU: Vote count for the selection of various key positions including chairman of the main opposition CPN-UML has begun at the Sauraha-based Hotel Seven Star.  Voting for the key office bearer positions and central committee members, which began at 4 AM earlier on Tuesday, concluded at 10:30 AM.  As many as 2,096 delegates cast their votes on the electronic voting machine.  According to Bijaya  Subba, chief of the central election committee, the final results will be out by 3 PM today.
