LMC to administer Vero Cell second dose vaccines on July 11 and 12

LALITPUR, July 8 :The second dose of anti COVID-19 vaccines is being administered in Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC) on July 11 and 12. According to LMC chief administrator Ganesh Aryal, the Vero Cell vaccines would be administered to the locals of age 60 to 64. He added that the vaccines would be administered from all 29 ward offices of the LMC. Aryal has urged all targeted groups to compulsorily bring the vaccination cards.    Similarly, Mahalaxmi and Godavari Municipalities are managing vaccination programmes on Friday. Likewise, such vaccination programme is scheduled for Friday in Konjyosom and Mahankal rural municipalities while Bagmati rural municipality will administer vaccines on July 9 and 10.

LALITPUR, July 30: First dose of Vero Cell vaccine against COVID-19 has been provided in all wards of Lalitpur Metropolitan City for three days from today.  Citizen above 45 years would be administered the vaccine at vaccination booth of every ward.  Chief Administrative Officer, Ganesh Aryal, said, "Preparation has been made to administer the Johnson & Johnson vaccine on coming Monday." According to Godavari municipality, citizens above 50 years, lecturers of colleges, school principals, teachers, staffs, drivers and helpers of public vehicles as well as disabled persons under 'A' and 'B' categories would be innoculated with Vero Cell vaccine in the municipality.   Similarly, Mahalaxmi municipality has started providing first dose of Vero Cell vaccine to the citizens above 50, who missed the first dose of Vero Cell vaccine, from Thursday till today.  However, vaccine against COVID-19 would be administered on coming Sunday and Monday at Konjyosom rural municipality of south Lalitpur.

Booster dose of Vero Cell to be administered in Lalitpur from Friday

LALITPUR, July 7: The booster dose of China-manufactured the anti-COVID-19 vaccine, Vero Cell, is being administered in Lalitpur district on coming Friday and Saturday. The people from 60-64 age groups who have received the first dose of the vaccine (Vero Cell) are eligible to get the final shot, the District Public Health Office, Lalitpur said. Office chief Dr Khageshwor Gelal said those already receiving the first dose and waiting for the final shot are requested to visit the accessible vaccination centres on July 9 and 10 with the vaccine card and a biometric identity card. The vaccine was procured from the northern neighbour.  Meantime, the Godavari municipality has scheduled the vaccination programme at all its 14 wards on Friday. The vaccine will be available at all health posts in the wards, Kitini of Taukhel and Saraswoti Secondary School, Anandawan Hospital and the Ward-11 office as well, it is said.

12 vaccination centres fixed for administering second dose of Vero Cell

KATHMANDU, July 6: The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has determined 12 places for administering second dose of Vero Cell vaccine. Senior citizens from 60-64 years who have already been vaccinated with its first dose will be given the second dose jabs. The second dose of Vero Cell would be given till July 8 from today.  Bir Hospital, Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Civil Hospital, Shukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital, Paropakar Maternity and Women’s Hospital, Nepal Police Hospital, Birendra Sainik Hospital,   Shankarapur Hospital, Himal Hospital, Om Hospital and Research Centre, Chhatrapati Free Clinic and Janamaitri Hospital, Balaju, have been fixed as vaccination centres.  Chief of KMC Urban Health Department, Hari Bahadur Kunwar said the senior citizens who have already been vaccinated with first dose of Vero Cell could reach the vaccination centre convenient to them and get the second dose vaccine.  They have to mandatorily bring first dose vaccination card along with them for the same. The KMC had operated vaccination programme from 32 centres during first dose vaccination programme.

800,000 doses of China-aided Vero Cell Covid-19 vaccines arrive in Nepal

Nepal has received 800,000 doses of Vero Cell Covid-19 vaccines from China as a grant on Tuesday. This is the first lot of the one million doses that Chinese President Xi Jinping announced to give to Nepal last week.
