CHITWAN: The main opposition CPN-UML is holding a closed-door session as a part of its Tenth General Convention from Saturday. The closed-door session, which is to be held at Seven Star Hotel in Sauraha, will elect the new leadership for the party for the next five years.
The inaugural session will be addressed by Chairman Oli and foreign guests. Foreign dignitaries from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have arrived in Chitwan to join the UML general convention.
The national jamboree was officially inaugurated amidst a special function on the bank of the Narayani River on Friday afternoon.

The closed-door session, which is to be at Seven Star Hotel in Sauraha, will elect the new leadership for the party for the next five years.
The session will be formally inaugurated at 10 AM, according to Yogesh Bhattarai, the party’s publicity department head. The inaugural session will be addressed by Chairman Oli and foreign guests.
Foreign dignitaries from India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have arrived in Chitwan to join the UML general convention.
The convention will conclude on Sunday.
Over 1,500 security personnel have been mobilised to guard the 10th general convention of the CPN-UML that will begin in Chitwan on Friday.
