KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is issuing new banknotes from Monday in view of the upcoming Dashain festival.
The general public can exchange crispy notes from the central office and provincial offices of the NRB. Similarly, authorized banks and financial institutions in and out of the Kathmandu Valley will also distribute fresh notes ahead of the festive season.
The central bank is issuing fresh notes worth Rs 35 billion keeping in view of this year’s Dashain, Tihar and other festivals.
An individual can exchange an amount up to Rs 18,500 including banknotes of Rs 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100.
