Pokharel’s resignation approved

KATHMANDU, Aug 11: Resignation tendered by Chief Minister of Lumbini Province, Shankar Pokharel has been accepted.  Province Chief Amik Sherchan accepted the resignation of CM Pokharel.  Pokharel stepped down from his position a few minutes before the scheduled special session of the provincial assembly on Wednesday. The assembly was all set to discuss the no-confidence motion filed against him.  The office of the Province Chief also informed the Lumbini Province Secretariat about Pokharel’s resignation.
