Kathmandu court releases house owner arrested on the caste discrimination charge
The Kathmandu District Court has released Saraswati Pradhan, a local of Babarmahal in Kathmandu, who was arrested on Sunday on the charge of denying a Dalit woman a flat and hence committing an act of caste discrimination.
KATHMANDU, Aug 2: Advocate Bhagwati Pandey ‘Sheetal’ has been arrested, Anil Adhikari, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of District Police Range Kathmandu informed. District Court Kathmandu issued an arrest warrant against Pandey on Friday.
