Oli will dissolve the local government as well if UML wins: PM Deuba

KATHMANDU, May 9: Prime Minister (PM) Sher Bahadur Deuba has maintained that Chairman of CPN-UML, KP Sharma Oli will dissolve the local level government as well if the UML wins the local level election. Addressing a public gathering of the ruling alliance at Dhangadhi on Monday, PM Deuba said that if Oli can dissolve the federal parliament then he can surely do the same for the local government. “KP Oli dissolved parliament twice unconstitutionally. What do you want to get after making UML win? Parliament dissolution?,” Deuba questioned. PM Deuba also maintained that to let UML win is to give a mandate to dissolve parliament and government. Besides, PM Deuba said that the government will give a top most priority to Sudurpaschim Province during budget allocation for infrastructural development. Likewise, Deuba also urged the rebel candidates of the alliance to withdraw their candidacy, issuing a press statement or face action.

PM Deuba, MC’s Chair Dahal to address public gathering at Dhangadhi today

KATHMANDU, May 9: The ruling alliance is scheduled to organize a mass gathering at Dhangadhi focusing on the upcoming local level polls. The ruling alliance, Nepali Congress, CPN (Maoist Center), CPN (Unified Socialist), Janata Samajbadi Party and Rastriya Janamorcha Party, has been organizing a series of election focused gatherings across the country in recent days. These members of the ruling coalition have forged an electoral alliance for the upcoming local polls due on May 13. The public gathering that is set to kick off at 11 AM Dhangadhi Stadium is scheduled to be addressed by the key leaders of the coalition including Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and Chairman of CPN ( Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal among others. The ruling alliance has fielded the candidacy of Nrepa Bahadur Bada, Nepali Congress’s leader, for the post of mayor and Shanti Adhikari, CPN (Maiost Center’s leader, for the post of deputy mayor.

PM Deuba positive in conducting elections of all levels of govt at once: Dahal

KATHMANDU, November 24: Chairman of Communist Party of Nepal (Maosit Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has maintained that Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Dueba is positive on conducting elections of all three levels of the governmnet at the same time. Speaking with journalists at the Dhangadhi Airport on Wednesday, Dahal shared that a discussion was held with PM Deuba regarding the election at the time when calls for conducting elections of all three levels of government at the same time were strongly being heard. “PM Deuba is also positive about conducting elections of all levels at once and a decision will be taken following discussions with all levels of the government,” Dahal further stated. Chairman Dahal also maintained that conducting elections of all levels at the same time will cut expenses of the election as well. Similarly, Dahal also stated that the disputes at the Supreme Court will be soon resolved. “If it is not resolved internally then the ruling alliance will make a decision regarding the judicial deadlock at the apex court,” he added.

MCC will be passed without any amendments: PM Deuba

KAILALI, Oct 22: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the American aid project, Millenium Challenge Corporation (MCC), will be passed by parliament. Speaking at a press conference in Dhangadhi after inspecting the disaster-struck regions in Sudurpaschim Province, PM Deuba said that the MCC will be passed by parliament as it will be under the purview of Nepal’s laws.
