Vote Counting Delayed in Remote Mugu District Due to Geographical Challenges
Mugu. While vote counting is ongoing across the country following the House of Representatives elections held on Falgun 21, counting in Mugu district has been delayed due to geographical remoteness. The delay is because ballot boxes from two polling stations in Dolpa and Mugu, located in the remote Mugu-Karmarong Rural Municipality bordering China, require a two-day trek on foot to reach the district headquarters.According to the District Election Office, Mugu, these ballot boxes are expected to reach the district headquarters shortly today.
