Bagmati Cabinet expanded

HETAUDA: Chief Minister of Bagmati Province Rajendra Pandey has expanded his cabinet for the fourth time. Three ministers and three ministers of state were inducted into the Cabinet on Friday. The newly appointed ministers took the oath of office and secrecy at an event organized in the Office of Chief of the Province on Friday itself. With this, the Cabinet has become 18-member big. The newly appointed ministers- all from the Nepali Congress, are Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives and Poverty Alleviation Balaram Paudel, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Milan Babu Shrestha and Minister for Culture and Tourism Dipendra Shrestha, Minister of State for Physical Infrastructure Development Santa Bahadur Praja, Minister of State for Health, Kalpana Nepali and Minister of State for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Rajani Amatya Jonchhe.

Bagmati Cabinet expanded, five ministers added

KATHMANDU: Bagmati Province’s Cabinet has been expanded.  Chief Minister Rajendra Prasad Pandey on Tuesday inducted five ministers and a minister of state.  Basanta Prasad Manandhar, Ghanashyam Dahal, Basundhara Humagain, Bishal Khadka, Ratna Prasad Dhakal and Indra Maya are new Cabinet members.  As per their portfolios, Dahal will serve as Minister for Labor, Employment and Transportation; Manandhar as Drinking Water, Energy and Irrigation and Humagain as Agriculture and Livestock Development. Similarly, Khadka has been given the ministerial role at Forest and Environment Ministry and Dhakal at Youth and Sports Ministry. Gurung is the minister of state at the Ministry of Agriculture.  With this, the four-member Cabinet has now become ten-member big.

Yadav Chandra Sharma appointed Bagmati Governor

KATHMANDU, Aug 20: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed Yadav Chandra Sharma as the Province Chief of Bagmati Province.  The appointment was made on Friday on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers as per Article 163 of the Constitution of Nepal.  With this, Sharma’s predecessor Bishnu Prasai was relieved of his position.  With Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba taking over the helm of the government, the Cabinet had already recommended to President Bhandari to appoint new governors in Lumbini, Gandaki and Province 2.
