KATHMANDU, Aug 20: President Bidya Devi Bhandari has appointed Yadav Chandra Sharma as the Province Chief of Bagmati Province.
The appointment was made on Friday on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers as per Article 163 of the Constitution of Nepal.
With this, Sharma’s predecessor Bishnu Prasai was relieved of his position.
With Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba taking over the helm of the government, the Cabinet had already recommended to President Bhandari to appoint new governors in Lumbini, Gandaki and Province 2.
