Woman dies in cylinder explosion

BANIYANI, Jan 6: A woman died and other 12 were injured while dousing an inferno that engulfed a house at Mechinagar municiplaity-7, Peepalchowk in Jhapa on Wednesday. Sharada Rajbamshi, 45, of Mechinagar-8 died after a cylinder gad exploded while extinguishing fire, shared spokesperson of District Police Office, DSP Basanta Pathak. The fire had ravaged the house of Keshab Pathak of Mechinagar-7. Critically injured Sharada died on the way to Dhulabari for treatment. Other 12 local people were injured while working together to bring down the fire. The fire was taken under control with the help of fire engine of the municipality, police and locals at 10.20 pm yesterday.
