RAUTAHAT, June 17: Two people have been arrested with illegal weapons in Rautahat on Saturday. 65-year-old Mohan Raya and 45-year-old Umesh Raya of Sarlahi Malangawa were among the arrested, DSP Umashankar Yadav of Rautahat Police informed.

RAUTAHAT, JULY 17: Farmers of Sarlahi and Rautahat have been left high and dry due to the lack of irrigation in the paddy planting season. Due to the lack of rainfall even in July, paddy saplings have started to dry up in the bed and paddy fields are also drying up.
As many as 186 polling booths of Sarlahi and Rautahat districts are highly sensitive. Security has been tightened in both the districts for local level elections slated for May 13.
