KATHMANDU, Dec 20: Both the President, Sher Bahadur Deuba and the general secretary, Gagan Thapa, of the Nepali Congress filed their candidacy for the post of the parliamentary party leader of the party on Tuesday.
The voting for the election of the parliamentary party leader is scheduled on Wednesday.
Youth leader Thapa is backed by leaders like Shekhar Koirala, Pradip Poudel, Bishwa Prakash Sharma and Dhan Raj Gurung.
Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba and General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa have filed their candidacies for the election to the party's parliamentary party leader.
