Madhav Nepal will return to CPN-UML: leader Bhattarai

POKHARA: CPN-UML Secretary Yogesh Bhattarai has said that Madhav Kumar Nepal, who has formed a new party after a split from the CPN-UML, would return to the mother party.  At a press meet organised by the Kaski chapter of Press Chautari Nepal at Pokhara on Friday, leader Bhattarai said, "We signed the 10-point agreement in presence of Nepal. But he split the party without holding an adequate discussion in the party. It is not good. I urge other cadres not to join the CPN (Unified Socialist)."  He expressed the belief that a new generation would get leadership once the age limit of 70 years is implemented for holding executive posts of the party.  Leader Bhattarai opined that it was necessary to bring out the official opinion of the government on the issue of MCC.  He clarified that he would stand against the mass media bill tabled by the Gandaki Province Government as it would restrict independent journalism.
