Noted composer, singer Prem Dhoj Pradhan no more

KATHMANDU, May 6: Noted musician and singer Prem Dhoj Pradhan passed away on Thursday morning while undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital. He was 84. Pradhan, who was admitted to the Basundhara-based Neuro Hospital on Thursday morning after he had breathing complications, breathed his last while undergoing treatment at around 1:45 PM today itself.  According to his family sources, he was, however, tested negative during a PCR test for COVID-19.  Born in 1938 in Chautara, Sindhupalchok, to Ratna Dhoj Pradhan and Pran Devi Pradhan, had recorded the first song at the age of 16. Some of his popular songs are ‘Ghumtima na aau hai’, ‘Goreto yo gaaunko’, ‘Timilai achel kaha dekhnu, ‘Par laijau foolharu’ among others.
