Nepali cricket team off to Oman to play Triangular Series

KATHMANDU, August 24: The Nepali cricket team has left for Oman to play in the Triangular Cricket Series under the World Cup League-2 with Oman and America. The 22-member team with 17 players boarded the Salam Air plane for Oman at Tribhuvan International Airport today.   National Sports Council (NSC) member-secretary Ramesh Kumar Silwal, Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) president Chatur Bahadur Chand, CAN treasurer Roshan Kumar Singh among the sports officials bade farewell to the team at the TIA.  The Nepali team has Gulshan Jha, Dipendra Singh Airi, Kushal Bhurtel, Asif Shekh, Aarif Shekh, Kushal Malla, Binod Bhandari, Karan KC, Sompal Kami, Sandeep Lamichhane, Pawan Sharraf, Avinash Bohara, Rohit Kumar Poudel, Susan Bhari, Sharad Bheshwakar and Bikram Shob. Gyanendra Malla is the team captain. The Oman Series will run September 13 through September 20. Nepal will be playing two games each against Oman and America under the Triangular Series.
