KATHMANDU, Feb 15: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Shishir Khanal has said that the police were negligent in the Lotse Mahal robbery incident on Monday. Speaking in the zero hour of parliament on Wednesday, he said that due to the ineffectiveness of the police operation, there was damage that should not have happened in Lotse Mall.

KATHMANDU, Feb. 18: Police have arrested 40 people involved in vandalizing and looting Lotse Mall located at New Bus Park as well as torching police vehicles on February 13.  They were arrested on Friday evening on the charge of torching two police vans, vandalizing Lotse Mall, and looting mobile sets during a protest launched by transport workers.  Agitators had vandalized ACDC Mobile Pvt Ltd, Diamond Mobile Pvt Ltd, and Kathmandu Supermarket Pvt Ltd and looted mobile sets, chargers, earphones as well as other things.
