They were arrested on Friday evening on the charge of torching two police vans, vandalizing Lotse Mall, and looting mobile sets during a protest launched by transport workers.
Agitators had vandalized ACDC Mobile Pvt Ltd, Diamond Mobile Pvt Ltd, and Kathmandu Supermarket Pvt Ltd and looted mobile sets, chargers, earphones as well as other things. They also set on fire the vehicles (Ba 2 Jha 144) and (Ba 1 Jha 7224)...
KATHMANDU, Feb. 16: The police have arrested 15 more people involved in the theft at Lhotse Mall and arson on the police vehicle during the demonstration by the transport workers at Machhapokari, Balaju. SSP of Valley Crime Investigation Office Dr. Manoj KC informed that 15 people seen in the CCTV footage and video were arrested.
The arrestees are Suraj Magar of Kavre, Ritesh Basnet of Udayapur, and Yaman Rai of Morang Belbari. They were seen in the video stealing mobile phones from Lotse Mall.
