KATHMANDU, April 29: Banks and financial institutions would remain open in Kathmandu Valley during the prohibited period imposed here fromThursday.
Issuing a press release, Nepal Bankers’ Association said that all branches of banks and financial institutions would remain open during the period.
The association urged the clients not to visit banks and financial institutions except in essential cases, though the branches of banks and financial institutions would remain open during the period.
Association Chair Bhuwan Dahal said that they have also requested clients not to form crowds at banks and financial institutions. “We have urged them to make online transactions rather than cash transactions.”
Saying ATM booths would also remain open during the prohibition period, the association urged the clients having internet/mobile banking service if they suffer any technical problem.
