JANAKPURDHAM, July 16: The train service in operation from Jayanagar in India to Janakpurdham, Nepal is going to be expanded to Bhangaha Bijalpura in Mahottari.
Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala will launch the extension service today.

KATHMANDU, June 23: Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train carrying religious tourists arrived in Janakpur, Nepal from India on Thursday.
The train had left from Delhi to Janakpur on Tuesday.
The train will cover approximately 8,000 kilometers between India and Nepal. It will run on the Ramayana circuit identified under Swadesh Darshan and visit places where Lord Ram, Goddess Sita, and Lord Laxman set foot during their 14-year exile.
The Bharat Gaurav tourist train will arrive in Janakpur on Thursday, informed the general manager of Nepal Railway Company, Niranjan Kumar Jha.

KATHMANDU, April 1: Once the Janakpur-Jaynagar Rail Service is inaugurated on Saturday, it will be mandatory for travelers to have an identity card with them in order to travel to India by train.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba is visiting India on Friday. During his three day visit to India, PM Deuba and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi are scheduled to inaugurate the Railway Service via virtual medium on Saturday.
Once the railway comes under operation, those Nepali nationals traveling India by train are required to carry their identity card with them – Citizenship or Passport or Voter ID, according to Niranjan Jha, General Manager of Nepal Railway Company.
Besides, in case of emergency entry, a recommendation letter or certificate with photo issued by the Consulate General has been made mandatory.
Similarly, those children aged between 10 to 18 are required to carry their school identity card for the same.
