The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case exceeding 77.8 million rupees against former Speaker Krishna Bahadur Mahara and several high-ranking customs officials in connection with the gold smuggling case hidden inside electronic cigarettes (vapes).The investigation was initiated following complaints alleging that officials at the Tribhuvan International Airport Customs Office had facilitated massive revenue leakage in exchange for bribes from gold smugglers. Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Deletes Social Media Post Regarding US Talks
Tehran. Reza Amiri Moghadam, the Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, has deleted a post he made on the social media platform X. In the post, he had stated that an Iranian delegation was departing for Pakistan today and would hold talks with US Vice President JD Vance on Saturday.The talks were to be based on a 10-point plan proposed by Iran, Moghadam had mentioned in the post.
