MORANG, September 1: As many as 10 Provincial Assembly members of Province 1 elected from CPN (UML) are scheduled to join CPN (Unified Socialist) on Wednesday.
10 Provincial Assembly members are scheduled to visit the Election Office at 11 AM today and authenticate their names to join CPN (Unified Socialist), according to leader Rajendra Rai, central member of the party.
“Lawmakers Rajendra Rai, Rajan Rai, Upendra Ghimire, Sabitra Regmi, Krishna Kumari Rai, Khinu Langwa Limbu, Ganesh Kangmang, Sunita Chaudary, Sarita Thapa and Padma Kumai Gurung will be joining the new party today,” said Rai.
Among these lawmakers, Rajendra Rai, Krishna Kumari Rai and Ganesh Kangmang are the central members of CPN (Unified Socialist).
With this, the newly elected Chief Minister of the Province, Bhim Acharya, will lose his majority soon as 10 lawmakers join the new party.
Likewise, a total of 10 Provincial Assembly members of Sudurpaschim Province and 12 of Bagmati Province verified their names to join CPN (Unified Socialist) on Tuesday.
