NC welcomes SC verdict to reinstate parliament: Prez Deuba

Deuba preparing to form a small sized Cabinet

KATHMANDU, July 13: President of Nepali Congress (NC), Sher Bahadur Deuba is preparing to form a small sized Cabinet under his premiership on Tuesday evening.  Deuba is being appointed as the prime minister as per Article 76 (5) as per the mandamus issued by the Supreme Court (SC) on Monday. The court ordered the Office of President to appoint Deuba as the new PM by 5 PM Tuesday.  A meeting of the opposition alliance, which was held shortly after the apex court’s verdict, decided to form a small sized Cabinet.  Meanwhile, a meeting of the senior leaders of the opposition alliance, on Tuesday morning, is supposed to finalize the name of those joining the new government.
