Labour Employment Journalism Prize instituted

KATHMANDU, June 15: The Labour and Employment Journalists Group has established ‘Labour and Employment Journalism Prize’ with an objective of encouraging the media persons actively covering the employment, labour and migration beat.   Group Chairperson Sunil Neupane said that the prize was established with the partnership of International Labour Organisation (ILO).    He said out of news materials published and disseminated from January 1, 2021 to July 14, three best materials would be awarded. The first prize consists of Rs 30,000 cash and certificate, the second prize Rs 20,000 and certificate and the third prize Rs 10,000 and certificate, according to the Group. Media persons active in labour employment sector willing to participate in the competition should send their material published or broadcasted in Nepali or English language at its office at Lalitpur Metropolitan City-10 or Group’s email lejog2076@gmail.com within 5:00 pm on July 15.
