Prithvi Highway Section in Dhading to Reopen for Two-Way Traffic on October 1
Kathmandu. The Department of Roads is preparing to open the damaged section of the Prithvi Highway in Krishnabhir, Dhading, for two-way traffic from October 1. However, geotechnical experts have warned that the temporary road being constructed by cutting the slope should not be considered a long-term solution. Eleven Hydropower Projects Affected by Bhote Koshi Flood, Rescue Operations Underway
Kathmandu. Eleven hydropower projects in Rasuwa and Nuwakot have been affected by the flood in Bhote Koshi on September 10. People were trapped in the project tunnels due to the severe flood that came from the Lende River in China.According to the Independent Power Producers' Association (IPPAN), people were trapped in the tunnels of all eleven projects.
