NOC reduces fuel price

KATHMANDU, Dec 17: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the fuel price by Rs three rupees per liter. With the decision coming into effect from Saturday midnight, the corporation has decided to reduce the price of petrol, diesel and kerosene by Rs three per liter. However, the price of LP Gas and aviation fuel price has remained the same. The price of the petrol and diesel will now strand at Rs 178 per liter and Rs 175 respectively.

KATHMANDU, Aug 3: The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has decided not to reduce the fuel price despite reduction of the price by India. Stating that the corporation is already suffering from loss, it has decided not to reduce the price, according to the sources. As per the price list of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) unveiled on August 1, the price of petrol has been reduced by Rs 16.80 per liter and diesel by Rs 12.45 per liter.  Likewise, as per the price list unveiled by IOC on July 15, the price of petrol and diesel were deducted by Rs 15.76 and Rs 16.56 per liter respectively.

AOAN increases airfare after NOC hikes fuel price

KATHMANDU, June 20: The Airlines Operation Association of Nepal (AOAN) has increased the airfare following the Nepal Oil Corporation’s decision to increase the fuel price. The new rate of airfare will come into effect domestically from Wednesday. The association has hiked the fare by minimum of Rs 170 and maximum of Rs 840.  With this decision in effect, airfare from Kathmandu to Dhangadi will cost Rs 16, 805.  The NOC had hiked the price of aviation fuel by Rs 19 per liter. Air fare increases after fuel price hike

The air service companies have increased airfare with the increase in fuel price. The umbrella organization of air service providers issued a press release on Wednesday and informed that the air fare has been increased up to Rs 440 in a one-way flight.  Now, the passengers should pay Rs 440 more in the longest route while those flying in the shortest route should pay Rs 95 more to the usual fare. The longest air route in the country is from Kathmandu to Dhangadhi while Kathmandu to Simara is the shortest one.  Nepal Oil Corporation had increased the price of air fuel by 11.6 percent (Rs 10 per litre). The increase in airfare was in line with the NOC decision on price hike, said the Association of Aviation Service Company. The Association further said the decision on price hike was taken after taking permission from the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal. Now, the air fuel price has reached Rs 96 per litre – Rs 10 up from the earlier price.
