Two arrested on charge of ‘kidnaping’, raping and murdering 18 months child in Morang

KATHMANDU, March 13: Police have arrested two people on the charge of ‘kidnaping’, raping and murdering a 18 months old child of Belbari-8 of Morang district. Arrestees have been identified as Ajay Chaudary, 25 and Mithun Chaudhary, 28, of Sundar Haraicha Municipality-7, according to the District Police Office (DPO), Morang. According to the police, these people are accused of kidnaping the child then raping and murdering her. "It has been learnt that the child was kidnaped on March 11 then taken to Sundar Haraicha Municipality-7 and raped," said Manjil Mukarung, DSP of DPO, Morang. The child was later found in a critical condition and breathed her last while undergoing treatment at Biratnagar-based Nobel Hospital on March 12. According to the police, the lower body part of the child was naked and her genitals were covered with blood. As per the preliminary investigation of police, the child was hit by a beer bottle on the head.
