The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has requested local levels across the country to control the uncontrolled use of hazardous and banned pesticides in vegetables and fruits.Based on recent media reports and information from stakeholders, the Ministry has taken this step citing a serious threat to human health and environmental balance.The Ministry's Agriculture and Livestock Business Promotion Division issued a five-point letter to all local levels today.
