India hikes petroleum price: NOC

KATHMANDU, March 16: The Nepali Oil Corporation (NOC) has maintained that India hiked the petroleum price once again. As per the reviewed price list received by India, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 16.37 per liter while the price of diesel has gone up by Rs 24.49 per liter, reads the statement of the corporation. With this, NOC is estimated to suffer a loss of Rs 5.30 billion in the next 15 days.  However, NOC has not taken any official decision regarding the petroleum price hike in Nepal.

The price of petroleum products has reached all-time high in Nepal with the Nepal Oil Corporation once again increasing the cost of petrol at the pump to Rs145. Diesel and kerosene cost Rs128. Aviation fuel and LPG prices stay the same.

Nepal Oil Corporation has hiked the prices of petroleum products to Rs142 and diesel and kerosene Rs125 per litre. The price of aviation fuel has also been increased by Rs10 per litre while LPG prices remain the same.
