The number of bulldozers deployed to demolish the squatter settlement in Gairigaun, Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has reached eight.The Metropolitan Police stated that while only four bulldozers were initially used in Thapathali, more were added in Gairigaun due to the presence of large and permanent structures. ‘The plan is to demolish everything here today as much as possible, but the houses are quite sturdy.
