Customs Department Adopts Middle Path for Goods Without MRP Labels

Biratnagar. The Customs Department has adopted a middle path to remove the obstruction in the import of finished goods without Maximum Retail Price (MRP) labels. To clear hundreds of cargo trucks stuck at the customs point for the past 9 days, the department has decided to base it on the importer's 'self-declaration and commitment'.According to Kishore Bartoula, Director and Information Officer of the Customs Department, importers will now be able to clear goods only after submitting a self-declaration and signing a commitment letter at the customs point for goods without MRP labels.
