US Energy Secretary Orders Restart of Southern California Oil Facility to Bolster National Security

Kathmandu. US Energy Secretary Chris Wright has directed an oil company located in Southern California to resume operations. This move is expected to mitigate potential disruptions in oil supply and contribute to national energy security.As per the directive, the Santa Ynez Unit and pipeline near Santa Barbara will be brought back online. This unit includes three drilling platforms, offshore and onshore pipelines, and a processing facility. The facility is capable of producing about 50,000 barrels of oil per day and will help replace approximately 1.5 million barrels of foreign crude oil monthly.Secretary Wright clarified,
