A proposal of 'public importance related to safe motherhood' has been registered in the House of Representatives demanding that the maternity leave period for female employees and workers be extended from 98 days to 6 months.Women MPs from opposition political parties have registered this proposal demanding the implementation of the right to safe motherhood and reproductive health guaranteed by the Constitution of Nepal and health-related laws.
