The District Administration Office has issued 33 citizenship certificates based on the mother's name from February 5 (Bikram Sambat) until today.The office began distributing these certificates following the implementation of the provision in the Citizenship Act, 2063, which allows for citizenship based on the mother's name for those whose father's identity is unknown, after the Nepal Citizenship (Fourth Amendment) Rules, 2082, were approved by the Council of Ministers and published in the Nepal Gazette.The office has provided citizenship to stateless citizens who meet the criteria set by the Citizenship Act and the Citizenship Rules, 2082.
