A total of 106,000 votes were cast in Jhapa Constituency No. 5, where former Prime Minister and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Rastriya Swatantra Party leader Balendra Shah's candidate were contesting.There were 163,379 registered voters in Jhapa-5. According to the Jhapa Election Office, out of the votes cast, 56,972 were female and 49,400 were male.
