Rare King Cobra rescued and released in Dhanusha

Dhanusha. A rare King Cobra, measuring approximately 11 feet in length and weighing nearly six kilograms, has been rescued from Rajabas village in Bardibas Municipality-3, Mahottari, and safely released into its natural habitat.The snake was discovered hiding in a pile of firewood near a goat shed. According to Mithila Wildlife Trust President Devnarayan Mandal, a joint team comprising Subodh Acharya and Gautam Mandal of the Trust, along with the Sub-Division Forest Office in Lalgarh, successfully and safely captured the reptile.Following the rescue, the snake was relocated and released into a nearby community forest.
