Kathmandu. Cultural expert Dr. Jagman Gurung has stated that Nepal's festivals, rituals, and culture are rooted in science and nature. Discussing the interconnection between Nepal's indigenous traditions and society in the context of the New Year 2083, he argued that the Bikram Sambat calendar is eternal and scientific.Dr. Gurung, a former Vice-Chancellor of the Nepal Academy, emphasized that the New Year should be embraced as a time of enthusiasm, renewed spirit, and fresh beginnings. He noted that just as the arrival of spring brings renewal to nature and new shoots to plants, it also fills human life with new energy.
